**ALBERTA:  The Prompt Payment and Construction  Lien  Act  (the "PPCLA?€?) came into force on August 29, 2022. Lien deadlines in AB have been extended; however, there is a transition period for projects commenced prior to August 29, 2022. If the project you worked on commenced prior to August 29, 2022 you may only have 45 days to file.

Note: Our lien calculator is currently calculating lien periods in AB for 60 days. If you are in the concrete industry, your lien period may be 90 days.

Contact our team if you need further clarity on Alberta lien deadlines for your particular situation.
